Recognition as a nurse, as a carer, or perhaps both?

The nursing and individual healthcare courses are very similar. The nursing course is one level higher. While carers often work in geriatric care, nurses often work in hospitals.

It may be a good idea for you to submit two applications at the same time. Many nurses cannot be immediately recognised, but have to follow an additional course or extra practical training. In practice it often takes less time for you to be recognised as a carer in individual healthcare. You will be able to start working as a carer as soon as your individual healthcare carer diploma has been recognised.
