NOTE! From December 22nd to January 2nd, only the entrance on the Oranjebuitensingel will be open at our location in The Hague. Unfortunately it is also not possible to deliver or collect documents for the recognition of foreign diplomas at our office in this period.

Deliver in person
You can hand in your application for a recognition of a professional qualification or a certificate of competence in person. This can be done from Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 12:30 at the address below:

You will receive a confirmation of receipt.
Do not send original documents
If the documents are not complete or if there are any questions, you will be notified in writing. We strongly recommend that you do not send any original documents. If you still want to send an original document, this is at your own risk. We do not return the originals by post, but you will have to collect them yourself at our request.
Returning submitted documents
Submitted documents (originals or certified copies) will be returned to you once by registered mail. If you are unable to deliver the documents, they will be taken to a central archive. Collection by appointment is then only possible. Don't forget to bring your ID. It is also helpful to have your application reference number. You can find this on the right side of our letters.
Personal collection of documents
If you have indicated that you wish to collect your documents (originals or certified copies) in person, please wait for our confirmation first. Don't forget to bring your ID. It is also helpful to have your application reference number. You can find this on the right side of our letters.
We try our best to provide you with the best possible service. If you are not satisfied with our services, you can submit a complaint [in Dutch but you can write your message in English]. The 'BIG-register' is part of CIBG.
